The Winslow Hotel
Spring 2022, Revit & Enscape, completed Leah Vikander & Sophie Semanko
The Winslow Hotel ensures satisfaction by creating a unique and safe experience for every guest. Hotel guests are immediately immersed in an industrial-farmhouse style the second they walk through the front doors. The industrial style stems from the historic Ford Building that the hotel is housed in as the building was originally the Ford Motor Co. assembly plant and is located next to the Great Northern Railroad tracks. Farmhouse style is mixed in to pay tribute to North Dakota and the Midwest farm lands. Dark metals and stones are used to enhance the elements of the railroad and provide a luxurious feel (Cho, 2020). Historic elements from the original Ford Building including the blonde brick, concrete columns, and original monumental staircase are also seen in the space. Guests will gain a love for North Dakota and understand all the history that is behind the Ford Building while staying at The Winslow Hotel.
